I. AM. IRON MAN.
So I went to go see Iron Man last night, and I feel qualified to give you my unqualified opinion.
Frankly I thought it was a little over-hyped, especially by people who actually saw it. First I would like to say that I thought the action was incredible, and had some of the coolest special effects I've ever seen, but I found that some parts of the movie were a little hard to swallow. I did not mind the comedic scenes in the movie, but the fact that Tony Stark seemed to be fairly invulnerable to injury even while outside of his suit kept bringing me back to reality when I was trying to get immersed in the movie.
I think in the end, if I had gone to see the movie without hearing anything about it at all, I would have enjoyed it more. But when a movie is touted as "Best Rated Movie of 2008", and "Best Rated Comic Book Hero Movie Ever For All Time", you tend to go in with some rather high expectations.
